IS 340 - Mediation (3)

An interdisciplinary course introducing students to the role of mediation in resolving disputes. It explores the social psychological basis for mediation, including conflict theory. Students develop practical mediation skills. The learning approach includes lectures, simulations, modeling, and practice mediations, in a variety of settings. Case studies and role plays will be used heavily. The disciplines of communication and psychology are represented.
