Educational Technology Certificate

This 15 credit hour certificate is designed to provide classroom teachers with skills and knowledge to use innovative technology in their classrooms in a flexible, collaborative environment. The coursework will provide teachers with the skills and knowledge they need to integrate technology effectively into their instruction and to use the most current tools to enhance student learning. Teachers will learn how to re-think learning spaces, create effective technology-rich learning environments, and explore tools and techniques for enhancing teaching and learning, all built on a sound theoretical base of the most effective practices.
Admission Requirements for the Educational Technology Certificate
- Complete all parts of the written application;
- Submit official transcript from the institution where bachelor’s degree was earned;
- Students whose primary language is not English are required to submit official score reports of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) exam. The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 on the written test.

Required Courses (15 credit hours)
The following courses are required for the Educational Technology certificate:
Education Certificate Policies
To maintain enrollment, the student must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in all graduate coursework with no grade below a “C.” Only one grade of “C” is accepted toward the 15 credit hour program. Only one course may be repeated one time in the entire program. Students who are unable to maintain these academic standards will be dismissed from the program.

Students who complete the Educational Technology certificate will meet the following outcomes:

Assessment
Outcomes for the Educational Technology certificate are assessed by:
- Performance on course class assignments and key assessments as indicated on course syllabi;
- Responses from course evaluation questions.
