This interdisciplinary course focuses on paranormal phenomena and those who investigate them from the disciplinary perspectives of sociology and history. We will explore how the beliefs and practices of paranormal investigations differ from those typically held within scientific fields, how paranormal investigators rely on historical records and accounts when conducting investigations, and how communities of paranormal investigators form.
