EC 501 - Economic Concepts (3)An introduction to thinking like an economist and the fundamental microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts which provide the background for economic analysis. Economic concepts include decision making, trade-offs, scarcity, and economic systems. Microeconomic concepts examine the behavior of households, firms, and government in a supply and demand framework of a market-based economy. Macroeconomic concepts include GDP, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, Aggregate Demand & Aggregate Supply, and the basics of monetary policy and fiscal policy.
