EDTS 540 - Building Presentation Skills for Success (3)

Although technology has changed our methods and modes of communication, the need for good presentation and communication skills is still the same. Whether you have a class of talkers or shy students, native or non-native English speakers, all of your students need to be able to organize and communicate their thoughts clearly to succeed in their future education and careers.

In this course, you will discover how to create a classroom environment that helps students strengthen their presentation skills. Key topics will include presentation types, effective speech writing, delivery skills, remembering the audience, researching for your presentation, and persuasion. You’ll be able to model good communication skills and lead your students through every step of creating a presentation, from brainstorming to delivery. In addition, you’ll learn how to incorporate technology into your own and your students’ presentations.

Using the strategies from this course, you will be able to prepare your students to be effective, persuasive communicators who can succeed in the workplace and beyond.
