EN 271 - African-American Literature (3) This course is a survey of African-American Literature. Writers are selected because of their individual merit and their representation of African-American thought and experience. They will be studied for their cultural, political, and social contexts. Further, students will consider the struggles of Black Writers to gain respect and recognition against the societal obstacles of racism and stereotyping.
