Many organizations lack strategies for effectively managing diversity and inclusion at all levels e.g., expectations, career wants/needs, communication styles, learning preferences, gender, generation, race/ethnicity and sexual orientation. Time and money is spent on recruiting a diverse workforce. Few, if any develop sophisticated diversity retention strategies that build on these recruiting efforts. As a result, additional time and money is spent on additional recruiting a diverse workforce. The need to improve diversity and inclusion at all levels of an organization demands new ways of working, thinking and communicating techniques that should be developed as part of a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy.
