An overview of the principles that govern population biology, economic and ethical values of biodiversity, threats to biodiversity, conservation of populations, species and ecosystems, practical applications of conservation biology, and integration of a conservation ethic in human societies. Prerequisite: BI 112 passed with a “C” or better.
