BI 345 - Molecular Cell Biology w/Laboratory (4)

This course is a lecture and laboratory survey of the chemistry and biology of the basic unit of life-the cell.  Cell ultra-structure, cell physiology, and biochemical features of primarily eukaryotic organisms will be considered.  Laboratory exercises will focus on basic methodologies used in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry. When chosen as part of the Standard Track Capstone sequence, this course meets the Capstone requirement for Biology and Professional Health Science majors. Prerequisites: BI 111  and CH 216 , passed with a “C” or better. SP, odd years.
