CH 314 - Environmental Chemistry (4)

This course explores the chemistry behind water safety, pollution, and purification. Using real-world case studies like “forever chemicals” (PFAS), and herbicides like atrazine, you’ll explore how industrial pollutants impact public health. Through hands-on lab work, field trips, and discussions on EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, you’ll learn to assess water quality and develop purification methods. With a mix of science, policy, and practical skills, this course will equip you to tackle environmental challenges and communicate findings to diverse audience. CURE course.
