NU 446 - Experiential Learning III (1)

This clinical course provides RN-BSN students with nursing-focused experiences in healthcare policy, managed care, and care coordination. Students explore how nurses influence health policy, advocate for patient-centered care, and navigate managed care systems to ensure quality and equity. Through partnerships with policy organizations, case management teams, or healthcare agencies, students apply knowledge of reimbursement models, regulatory frameworks, and resource utilization to real-world practice. Emphasis is placed on the nurse’s role in improving healthcare access, outcomes, and system efficiency across diverse populations. Corequisites: HC 305  (co-requisite applies only to RN-BSN students).
