FI 632 - Derivatives (3)A study of the major types of derivative instruments, their uses and valuation. Topics covered include the pricing of vanilla and exotic options, forwards, futures, swaps, and other products composed of combinations of derivatives. The uses of derivative products with respect to the creation of structured cash flows, risk management and hedging are examined. The student will have the opportunity to create their own derivative product using fundamental valuation methods. Prerequisite: FI 630 .
