The Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to manage and secure information systems in a variety of settings, including corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. The program combines technical and managerial coursework, emphasizing the integration of cybersecurity with business strategy, innovation, ethics, leadership, and project management. Students will gain hands-on experience in using cutting-edge tools and techniques to secure information systems, while also developing the managerial and leadership skills required to manage cybersecurity teams and projects.

Cybersecurity Management Requirements (33-36 credit hours)
Criteria for Admission
In addition to the requirements listed on the Admissions page of this catalog, students must also meet these additional criteria:
- Grade Point Average of 2.75 or higher ona 4.0 scale for all undergraduate and graduate level coursework. Students with a GPA between 2.50 and 2.75 will be admitted provisionally. Students admitted provisionally must achieve a 3.0 GPA on the first nine (9) credits in their program of study.
- The admissions committee will consider all applications to evaluate any additional prerequisite courses needed.
- Submit official transcript(s) of the bachelor’s degree as well as any graduate-level coursework.
Outcomes
- Analyze cybersecurity risks and threast, and develop strategies and policies to mitigate these risks and protect information systems.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge to secure information systems - including network security, cloud security, cryptography, and digital forensics - and evaluate the effectiveness of these measures.
- Demonstrate the managerial and leadership skills required to manage cybersecurity teams and projects, including communication, decision-making, innovation, and project management.
- Appraise the ethical and legal considerations of cybersecurity, including compliance with industry standards and regulations, and develop strategies to ensure the ethical and legal use of information systems.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in cybersecurity, and develop strategies to foster innovation and lead change in cybersecurity management.
Assessment
The Cybersecurity Management, M.S. program will use signature assessments in key courses along with a capstone experience evaluation in either MG 695 or BU 695 .
