EC 201 - Principles of Economics (3)

An introduction to thinking like an economist and the fundamental microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts which provide the background for economic analysis. Economic concepts include decision making, tradeoffs, scarcity, and economic systems. Microeconomic concepts examine the behavior of households, firms, and government in a supply and demand framework of a market-based economy. Macroeconomic concepts include GDP, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, Aggregate Demand & Aggregate Supply, and the basics of monetary policy and fiscal policy. 2020 CORE: Liberal Arts, Social Sciences.
