KN 418 - Clinical Kinesiology (3)

This course presents an evidence-based approach to understanding and working with human movement impairments. Topics include a review of human movement science, assessment for human movement dysfunction, and corrective exercise. Emphasis is placed on the integrated relationships between structure and function of the skeletal-articular, myofascial, and motor control systems. Laboratory activities include: functional evaluation, palpation of musculoskeletal structures, measuring joint range of motion, muscle length and muscle strength analysis, and corrective exercise strategies. Prerequisites: KN 295  and BI 220  with a “C” or higher and 2.5 cumulative GPA. FA.
