NS 110 - Science of Popular Culture (3)

Science of Popular Culture is an entry-level science course for students with minimal science background.  It is designed for students who are not science majors, but who have an interest in learning about science.  The course will look at the use of science in super-heroics, science fiction, and popular television shows.  Students will briefly learn about a wide range of scientific topics, including basic scientific literacy.  Students will also experience how science plays a role in everyday life and society. 3 hours lecture/discussion per week. 2015 CORE:  Explorations of Nature, Acquire. FA, intermittently.
