Graduate Business Certificates

The Avila Graduate Business Certificate programs is an ideal way to expand your undergraduate course work or add additional certification to your MBA. Certificates are available in five graduate areas:

• Accounting Certificate  (requires undergraduate accounting)
• Finance Certificate  
• Health Care Administration Certificate  
• Management Certificate  
• Marketing Certificate  

Anyone who has received a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution will be eligible to enroll in the Graduate Business Certificate Program. All certificates require the prerequisite of College Algebra with a minimum grade of “C.”  Courses marked with a ** may be waived if equivalent work has been satisfactorily completed at either the undergraduate or graduate level with a “B” or better. All other courses listed will be required for certificate completion. 

Finance Certificate

Minimum 9 credit hours - maximum 18 credit hours required of the following courses: 

• AC 501 - Financial Accounting (3) **
• EC 501 - Economic Concepts (3) **
• EC 540 - Statistical Analysis (3) **
• FI 630 - Financial Management I (3) **
• FI 635 - Financial Management II (3)
• FI 637 - International Finance (3)
• FI 638 - Financial Markets & Instruments (3)

Outcomes

Outcome 1.

Demonstrate the ability to synthesize and integrate all of the functional areas of business and apply this knowledge to leadership positions in the workplace.

Outcome 2.

Formulate and solve problems through systematic analysis.
