CH 311 - Food & Drug Analysis (3) This course deals with the application of quantitative techniques used int he chemical and instrumental analyses of foods and drugs. The basic principles behind commonly used techniques to characterize the structural, physical, and chemical properties of active ingredients and excipients in drug and food industries will be discussed. This course will be a combination of lectures, laboratory demonstration, and instrumental analysis experiments. 2 hours lecture and 3 hours lab per week. When chosen as part of the Standard Track Capstone sequence, this course meets the Capstone requirement for Biology and Professional Health Science majors. Prerequisite: CH 135 with a grad of “C” or higher.
