Liberal Arts Studies, B.A.

The 120-credit hour Liberal Arts Studies degree is a multidisciplinary offering in the liberal arts with concentration choices in three areas: humanities, behavioral & social sciences, and natural sciences. The major is specifically designed for those students who have an interest in several disciplines and a desire to articulate as well as demonstrate the value of a broad liberal arts education.

A degree in Liberal Arts Studies offers you a broad perspective on life. No matter what pathway you take, some things are certain in the world: you will encounter challenges. You will deal with people who see the world differently than you do. You will see a need and want to fix it.

Liberal Arts Studies gives you the tools to successfully make a difference in the world. You’ll expand your creativity. You’ll learn excellent communication skills in multiple modalities. You’ll enlarge your understanding of the natural world and the human condition. By studying multiple ways of thinking and knowing, you’ll gain the skills to address challenges from a variety of perspectives, to synthesize ideas, and to bring people together in consensus.

The modern world is multi-faceted: your education should be, too.
